Buchanan would like to welcome you to the 26th annual California High School Tennis Classic. 116 schools will be competing in this 2-day event. The date of the tournament March 5 and 6, 2010. Each team will play 4-6 matches in this tournament.
To be entered into the tournmaent you MUST submit your entry form, which is located on this site.
Tournament Format has changed for all divisions except Division 1. Read below for changes.
Division 1 will be the top 16 teams in the tournament. Each team will play 2 matches on Friday and 2 matches on Saturday. This Division will be a draw format.
Division 2 will be the next 12 teams in the tournament. Each team will play 2 matches on Friday and 3 matches on Saturday. BOTH DAYS WILL BE A ROUND ROBIN FORMAT.
Division 3 will be the next best 12 teams in the tournament. Each team will play 3 matches on Friday and 2 matches on Saturday. BOTH DAYS WILL BE A ROUND ROBIN FORMAT.
Division 4 will be the next best 12 teams in the tournament. Each team will play 2 matches on Friday and 3 matches on Saturday. BOTH DAYS WILL BE A ROUND ROBIN FORMAT.
Division 5 will be the next best 16 teams in the tournament. Each team will play 3 matches on Friday and 3 matches on Saturday. BOTH DAYS WILL BE A ROUND ROBIN FORMAT.
Division 6 will be the next best 16 teams in the tournament. Each team will play 3 matches on Friday and 3 matches on Saturday. BOTH DAYS WILL BE A ROUND ROBIN FORMAT.
Division 7 will be the next best 16 teams in the tournament. Each team will play 3 matches on Friday and 3 matches on Saturday. BOTH DAYS WILL BE A ROUND ROBIN FORMAT.
Division 8 will be the next best 16 teams in the tournament. Each team will play 3 matches on Friday and 3 matches on Saturday. BOTH DAYS WILL BE A ROUND ROBIN FORMAT.
Please keep in mind the new format of the tournament when the draw is made. We now have 8 divisions compared to 4 or 5 in the past. More information will be Emailed to all coaches with more information about the format change.
We will be requiring that all schools submit their team profile. The placement of the teams will be based on the team profile sent into us and last years results. The more information you write on the profile the better. Top players and their rankings are great to know. Also please look at the "team" page on this site so you can compare your team to other in the tournament. The team profile is located on the web site.
The team profile is due by February 19, 2010. If this is not turned in your team may be dropped.
The entry fee for the tournament is $250.00. Please send checks to Buchanan High School (Jonathan Slater), 1560 N. Minnewawa Clovis, CA 93619 Please make checks paybale to Buchanan High School. Payment is due on March 5, 2010 to avoid a $25.00 late fee. If a team fails to pay they will not be allowed back in the tournament next year.
